Example groups
What a group page looks like.
Four fictional groups in four regions — a driving club, a racing crew, a flying club and a mixed crew.
Chuckanut Dawn Patrol
Bellingham, Washington
Dawn runs along Chuckanut Drive's cliffside curves above Samish Bay, then breakfast in Fairhaven before most of Bellingham is awake. In fall they chase the larches up to Washington Pass. Air-cooled or water-cooled, every car is welcome as long as you show up on time.
Spa Creek Irregulars
Annapolis, Maryland
A tight-knit J/105 crew racing Wednesday nights off Annapolis all season long. They swap positions so everyone learns the boat, keep a running tally of eleven-second losses, and end every race with crab cakes on the dock.
Pedernales Prop Club
Texas Hill Country
A flying club sharing three airplanes among forty pilots in the Texas Hill Country. Weekends mean barbecue fly-outs to small-town strips, sunrise pattern work with instructors and a hangar that doubles as the clubhouse. Student pilots fly alongside thirty-year veterans.
Seven Mile Society
Marathon, Florida Keys
A mixed crew that flies into Marathon on Friday, sails the reef on Saturday and drives the Overseas Highway home on Sunday. Pilots, sailors and drivers trade seats all weekend. It's the one group where everyone does all three.
